  • Who is this course for?

    This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about salmon habitat restoration in the Lower Fraser – you might be a community member looking at salmon stewardship as a potential career path, someone already working in the field, or somebody who simply cares about salmon.

  • What will the course cover?

    This course will cover land use and its effect on habitat, essential resources and reference documents and how to use them, habitat restoration techniques, case studies, useful terminology and more. Species covered include Chinook, Pink, Coho, Sockeye, Chum, Steelhead and Cutthroat.

  • How is the course formatted?

    This course is delivered through four self-directed, virtual lessons that take approximately 2.5 hours each to complete. You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge through a 15 question multiple-choice quiz at the conclusion of each lesson.
